Gunmen on motorcycle have attacked a Shia bus in Karachi. More than 45 people are killed, dozens injured.
Gulam Haider Jamali, Sindh Police Inspector informed that around 60 people were in the bus when gunmen fired indiscriminately on passengers. The bus was heading towards a place of worship of Ismaili Shia community.
The initial report shows that six gunmen were involved in the incident. They used 9mm pistols in the massacre.
Doctors at the hospital informed that 25 men and 16 women have been brutally killed. Luckily, there were no children among the dead people.
Rana M Razzaq, a security coordinator at the Memon Medical center, reported that numerous injured children have been brought to the hospitals. However, they are suffering from minor injuries.
This is not the first time, when any religious minorities has been attacked. Two months ago, suicide bombers entered in a church of Lahore. Around 14 people were killed and 80 were wounded.
Thus far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
