It seems like Apple wish to control everything on its users’ device.
On Monday, the iphone maker unveiled Apple Music at Worldwide Developers Conference 2015.
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, announced Apple is set to open a new chapter in music streaming. The new app will come up with numerous things such as music streaming, downloads and internet radio.
He along with few other legendary music producers launched the app. Superstar Drake and Pharrell also attended the presentation. Drake talked about the benefits of the service.
Initially, a three months free trial will be offered with Apple music. After the trial, users have to pay $9.99 per month for the service. In addition, the biggest tech firm has also launched a family plan for six members. The plan comes at a cost of $14.99/ month.
The app is expected to land on iphones till the end of June. It will come for iPhone, iPod touch, Mac and PC. However, high officials of Apple intend to release app for Android phones as well.
In 2003, Apple stepped in the arena of music industry with iTunes downloads. It entirely transformed the meaning of digital downloads. At that time, the company only wanted to give a tough competition to new music services like spotify.
