Oculus Grant $10 Million Fund to Encourage Indie Developers

Finally, Oculus has unveiled the consumer model of Rift headset.

Popularity of Virtual reality gaming is increasing day by day. The biggest teach firms such as Sony and Valve have progressed a lot.

Facebook owned Oculus was the one to initiate the race of virtual reality. However, the company has a different aim as compared to the rest of the VR developers. The firm wants to ensure that it has wide variety of titles for its platform.  In order to achieve the aim, Oculus has announced a new fund for indie developers.

At a recent event, the firm has also unveiled its consumer version of Oculus Rift. In addition, the company encourages new developers to make VR reality games for its new controller. The tech firm will grant $10 million to Indie developers for this purpose. The move shows that Oculus really support developers.

Big developers are usually afraid to experiment new things.  They refuse to take risk as they can safely play on traditional things.

This is not the first time when any VR company is trying new developers.  Last year, Samsung Gear VR arranged a special competition for new developers. The winner was awarded with grand prize of $200, 00.

The firm has not yet disclosed the launch date. However, the device is expected to land in markets till the end of 2015.
